Other Music Resources

Finding good quality music resources on the Internet can be difficult so I have put togther some links to websites that I have found useful in the past.

ClassicsForKids.com

This is a great site for children. It contains a great A-Z list of composers, an interactive composer timeline, some simple music games, information about the instruments that make up an orchestra as well as a musical dictionary and some tips and advice for parents and music teachers.

PBS Kids

The PBS Kids website contains a range of songs that children can sing along to. The site also contains some games and coloring sheets although these are not music related.

Instrument Encyclopedia

The instrument encyclopedia site is a great resource for introducing children to a very wide range of musical instruments. You can browse instruments by musical family and by location.

Practice Spot

Practice Spot is one of my favourite sites and contains a large collection of useful resources including manuscript paper, theory sheets, music crosswords, rhythm sheets, sightreading examples and a very comprehensive music dictionary.

I hope you find these resources as useful as I have :o)
